Minding the Gap

This launch-pad intensive is designed to recognise the gap between professional training and the world of work. For early-career artists, this gap can create panic and career planning can feel out of reach. With KND’s support, artists can transform this panic into action, making the changes needed to create their desired future.

This intensive is tailored to dancers who are entering their final year of vocational training or those recently graduated from undergraduate study. It consists of high-level technique classes and audition practice, alongside professional development sessions and freelance advice. This opportunity will encourage networking, self-reflection and goal setting, supporting participants in their development towards industry-readiness.

I feel like I have a better understanding of the attitude needed for dance training and auditions, and vital information that I wouldn’t have been given in school.
