TEACHING

Teaching Classes and Workshops

KND is regularly invited and continues to teach technique classes and choreographic workshops as part of academic modules in vocational education settings, summer and holiday courses, one-off professional development opportunities and as a guest teacher for professional dance companies. Incorporating her coaching and mentoring approaches with a clear, directive teaching style, Kerry leads innovative and energised experiences for all ages and standards. In popular demand for both technique and compositional courses – open and master – the classes delight, inspire and develop young people and professionals alike.

Mock Auditions

An extension of our classes and workshops offer, KND provides schools, colleges and organisations with expert advice and audition practice, thus preparing artists for pressurised selection processes.

Our mock audition package reflects a true audition process and includes a technique class and creative tasks – followed by both generic and individual feedback. Designed so that students can understand both the depth of their courage and the reality of their next steps, Kerry supports the experience with rigour and empathy. This model can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

Professional Auditions

Kerry has over twenty years experience delivering customised auditions for both small and large scale companies. Auditions may include a physical warm up, technique class, creative tasks and performative practice. Fully understanding the importance of the setting, Kerry sets the tone with sensitivity and professionalism enabling both the auditionee and the company to strive for their best outcome. She is regularly invited to sit on high-profile interview and selection panels.

Kerry knows how to push with care and teach with detail, passion and humour; which explains why, for more than two decades, we’ve kept inviting her back to teach her wonderful and inspiring classes.
